BAD!!!! It’s been 2 1/2 months since I have been here. With our company Christmas Party, Christmas, New Years and everything else going on, I guess I’ve slipped. I just can’t believe it’s been that long.

SO, no more of that. I’ll make sure to update the blog every few days. There is always something going on, so it’s not like there is nothing to talk about.

Let me post a little update here.

I am hosting a chat at 3Scrapateers called “Diet with the Sugar Plump Fairy” every Tuesday night at 6 pm PST. You can find all the information that you will need HERE There are 2 kits that I currently have for sale at 3S to go with the chat:

I think that when you are trying to lose weight, its a big enough chore…why not have a little fun with it. I try to make sure to have a freebie or two at the chats that go along with the theme. Everyone is welcome to join. The next chat will be on Tuesday, 1/8/08 so don’t miss it.

At ScrapDigiStyle I am currently hosting a “Tri-Color Challenge” each month. This month is the first time that I am having everyone pick their own 3 colors for their LO. The posting gift is GREAT and at the end of January will be on sale in my stores:

I’ve also made some store changes and I am now selling at Divine Digital and also Scrappin Freestyle. I’ll be starting a 28 day challenge this month at Divine Digital, so I’ll update everyone when it gets started.

Upcoming Chats

I have a few chats that I wanted to tell you about that are coming up at 3 Scrapateers. The first one is this Saturday night at 9 pm EST. This is just a preview of the great posting bonus that you can pick up at the chat. It’s the second installment of “My Favorite Things” and this week is my favorite recipe. What to do first???

I have so many things going on at once, I don’t know what to talk about first. Oh, wait, yes I do! My Creative Team is AWESOME! They have been working so hard to help me out and I wouldn’t have a clue what to do if it wasn’t for them. This is what they have come up with so far:

On Saturday, October 6th, I will be having my very first Chat at 3Scrapateers.

Just a little sneak peak at what you will be getting. This kit is one of two that I will be giving away in my Chats. Every other week I will host a “My Favorite Things” chat with a different theme. This week will be “My Favorite Heritage Photo.” On the weeks that I will not be hosting, there will be another Chat by DeDe Smith, with the same “My Favorite Things” theme. Our freebies are all based on the same color swatch. So by the time that you join the chat each week, at the end of the month, you will have an awesome kit….a BIG ONE! Chat’s start at 7 p.m. Pacific time.

Contest & more Freebies

I learned something valuable in the 3rd round of the “Digitals Design Star” Contest. Never, not EVER try to fix an element, that has a problem that has been clearly pointed out to you when you are at work, alone, phone ringing off the hook and trying to calm an angry client. You miss things….and I did. I made a HUGE mistake, one that I’m normally VERY careful of and I left stray pixels. When I went to check them at work and try to get it taken care of right away, I couldn’t see them. I put the element on a white screen and still couldn’t see them. I erased around the area and thought that I had gotten them all. Guess what, I hadn’t. I learned my lesson with that. BUT, I don’t want all of the work that I put into these kits to go to waste! They are great, I love them and I hope that others do to. So I want to link you to them in the contest, because that is what Stacey asked us to do until the contest is over.

These are my two “Boy” entries. Teenage boys are SO hard to scrap for because there really aren’t many kits out there for them. So this is what I came up with. I may add some other things to this, which would be freebies too.

3Scrapateers

DeDe Smith and I have taken over the Saturday night chat at3Scrapateers. We will be hosting a “My favorite things” chat. My chats will be the first and third Saturday of every month. If there is a 5th Saturday, I will host that one too. We will be creating coordinating freebies so that if you were to join each chat that month, by the end of the month, you would have a good sized kit that all matches. I’ll post more details this week.

This month I will be hosting a “Tri-Color” Challenge at Scrap Digi Style. The idea is to take the three colors that I provide you with and create a LO with them…then you get the challenge prize. Pretty easy. I usually try to link to one of my kits in the store with the correct colors in it and also give an example of what I mean.

I’ve joined the contest at Digitals and I want to share with you all. So far, it’s been a lot of fun. It’s very interesting the things that pop into your head when someone gives you a theme and you just run with it. Honestly, at first, I was stumped and had about 4 different things going on and NONE of them seemed to be working for me. I think that it’s wonderful that all of the kits that have been entered into the contest are free to download! What a great way to try out a designer. So I’ll give you a preview of my kit and the link below it and you can pop on over there and download it. While you’re there, vote. Even if you don’t want to vote for me…VOTE! I’ve been getting a lot of great feedback about my new Trick or Treat kit which is now available in all my stores. I’m not super into Halloween myself, my kids are both almost out of high school, but I remember when they were little all the great costumes and the anticipation. There is a LOT going on right now. School has started….we’ve taken on a huge project trying to put cabinets and counters in my craft room and I’ve had horrible designers block. This is the first time for me that it has gone on for more that a few hours and I can say with brutal honesty, it was VERY irritating!! I guess sometimes it flows….sometimes it doesn’t.

I have a new kit up. Its only in two of my stores right now. I had SUCH designers block and then this came out:

There is SOOOO much more in this kit than what I could fit into the preview. I really tried to get it all in there, but it just wouldn’t fit. So here is a little more:

There are 36 of those flowers in this kit in every color combination in the swatch. These are the only two stores that this kit is available at right now.
